Get your facts straight slick. It is more 12.xxx bone stock for the best of them. Here they are running low 13's stock.

He races at a 1000' foot track which means he's seeing bone stock '03 Cobras run 12.8's or so.

Sorry 93LS1RX7...that was a little out of line. My apologies. I'm sure it was an oversight on your part. I don't think anyone in the world (including dumbass ricers believe that a bone stock car would run 10's).

First off,I do race at kcir and every 03 cobra that has ran out there runs 12.7-8's bone stock. I know they are bone stock cuz i've asked them all what they had done to them. xphantomws6x I know the difference between a ls1 and a lt1 thank you. They might run faster where your at but here they run 13.6-7 everytime i see them.

I like what you said unit213 "Dont Believe Idiots That Post" believe me I dont.

I dont doubt you ran a 13.0. I just know you didnt do it with the mods you listed. I've seen plenty of people with those same mods running 13.6-7's all day long. I have a friend with an 02 that has a lid, ported tb and he ran a 13.72@103 with decent weather. I dont see a lid and catback making you car almost run 12's in the 1/4 thats what i said was That sounds like a run with a little NOS. There are alot of people that try to make it sound like they didnt do anything to their cars to make them run fast. For example..there is a guy on another forum that tried to give me **** sayin my car was slow for the mods and sayin his car ran 13.30' with your same mods(unit213) on a 99a4 z28.

I have a timeslip for my '98 A4 Trans Am right here:

13.754 @ 100.60
2.043 60'

during 85*+ weather at Byron,IL .
This is stock except for wear items using a FRAM paper filter on all season Yokohama Avid 245/50/16.No synthetic oil except for the rear diff. I have video and time slips I'll post if neccessary.NO free mods at the time of that run. Race weight was 3585 (w/me).
I now have a lid, cutout, holley filter, a couple of free mods and some weight loss and fully expect to run a 13.1 or better this weekend in the cool weather.
I only replied to this because your calling BS when this is totally possible.

ok kansas, first i have about a hundred passes at kcir and hpt i have about 250 passes so again i will say i know the tracks well (i just moved back to FL). first i will give you teh benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to inexperience but dude you are WAY WAY off on saying it requires nitrous to hit friggin 12s on a bolton car LOL! go talk to mark schomaker - hell he is the biggest ls1 tuner in KC area and he ran while it was still BOLTON (MEANS NO INTERNAL MODS BRO) an 11.89 @ 115 mph or so back a few years ago. so you are so wrong. nothing wrong with your times. i have personally run a 11.94 @ 116 mph on a bolton and cammed car (stock heads no power adder) at kcir on a 1.58 60' back when i was still having problems with teh tune. there have been SO many people to run 12s with bolton it is unreal at kcir and i consider that an average track. so my man, either learn (i replied in one of your older posts) or shut your mouth about your car. it sounds quick but there is a lot left in it if you were to run its TRUE potential. with et streets/3.73/ big convertor you should easily be in teh 1.65 range all day. work on that first and dont blame a little bit of gas in the tank.

oh and i ran 13.3 with nittos (still couldnt hook (2.0)) a cutout, and a lid as the only mods and i was still slow for around there.

I just ran 13.23 at kcir the other night (1.999 60'). Lid and a cutout. Sure, that was on my nitto's, but they are brand new and i couldn't do a long enough burn out to warn them up. Before that the car went 13.36 on a 2.09 60' with eagle F1's. I will be out there next wednesday if you want to see a lid/cutout car go low 13's, maybe high 12's if the nitto's will hook.

Do you have any more dribble to add to this conversation?

I like the smiley after yourpost. You actually beleive that was a good run. That's good stuff.

I'm done with this post since you're so blinded by your own car woes. I'll let my fellow LS1Tech members tell you that you're completely wrong.

Unlike you, I still post with a positive demeanor. My initial post was meant only to give you something for comparison. Good luck with your car Kansas.

i would like to say not all ls1 racers in kansas are this retarded. in fact, one of the best tuners is right there in KC that sponsers this board.

it has been fun, over and out.

I'd hope not, as Unit said, I'm done with this post. People that ask for an opinion, get something other then what they expected, and then bitch about it are .

Hopefully next time you'll be bright enough to goto the track on a day that doesn't have 30 mph headwinds.

One last post...

HERE is a time slip of a lid only run on stock GSC's. I'm sure I can dig up the 13.0 @ 107mph run, scan it, and post it if you'd like.
I'm sure you'd call on that too. I surely must've used nitrous because any car faster than yours must have more work done that's being said.

Either read where i said it was .2 faster than unit213 stock camaro or keep your .2 cents to yourself.

I'm going to call mark and ask him what a stock camaro will run with a lid and a cutout.
Well since you think you know mark so much, I would think you would already know that my car is running what he said it would. I went from running 13.8's to 13.0's with no power adders. An .8 pickup is pretty good for not adding any power to it. 295rwhp + 3700lbs does not equal 12's. I dont care how much you guys lie and say it does.

And for you kcir racers.. I dont know how many times i've been to the track and have never seen you run out there. If your cars are so bad why dont you run the vamp heads up out there, or are you scared of all the mustangs that run that.

What what I think is funny to is when at raging motorsports there was a guy up there in a 2002 ta getting his car dynoed the same day. He had 421rwhp and was running 12.4's. Thats a more realistic time with the hp he is producing. Now a stock ls1 puts out on average 305rwhp thats why they run 13.7-8. A cutout is good for a bout .2 and a lid let say .2, where is the other .4 coming from? I'm done with this post cuz I'm tired of the bullshit and lies. A cutout and lid car average (only mods, no free ****) is 13.3-4. Like I said I will call mark at Raging Motorsports and ask him what he think a stock ls1 with a lid and cutout will run. Since he is the best tuner in kc, no doubt he will know the answer.

Just like to add my $.02...

I had never drag raced a car until this year. I bought an '02 SS and began the summer running anywhere from 14.2's - 13.8's. After getting used to the entire process at the track and about 25 passes later, I was in the mid 13's.

Now, check my sig, I ran a 13.2 with the K&N FIPK and a Loud Mouth on BFG Drags - BUT NOTICE - the drags did essentially no good with my crummy 60'.

This is all at 900ft above sea level and the temp was NO LESS than 80 degrees each time I was up there.

And FYI, up here the '03 Cobra's are running about 13.4 - 13.1 depending on the drivers. Let's all keep in mind that the '03 Cobra will Dyno at OVER 400HP with a couple simply bolt-ons!

You obviously don't know what the cam-only record is, and how much hp he puts to the ground, do you? And what about Mark's heads and cam formula? I'm pretty sure it is in the 420 rwhp range, and it has been knocking on the 10 second door lately. Face it, your car, for your mods, is slow.

I don't doubt the guy with the '03 Cobra running a 13.0 on a lid/catback LS1. I ran a 12.9 @109.xx in my '00 LS1 with only mods being lid, throttle body, muffler and drag radials on an M6. I've yet to get to the local track to run any new times with the new mods though.

Q. What does a stock Ls1 with a cutout and a lid run?
A. Stock LS1 with lid and cutout will do about a 13.5 at 102 or so.
Q. My car ran a 13.07@102 with 295rwhp at3700lbs. Is my car running at about what is supposed to be with a 3200stall,3.73's and et streets with my hp and raceweight?
A. You times are about right for your mods but your raceweight is killing you.
