i read GM put bigger injectors on 01-02 fbodies so it would respond better to mods believe it or not.im sure that would only make a difference on nitrous or FI cars.

Can you show us where you read that? I have a hard time believing that a company that would install paperweight 7.5" rearends and flimsy clutches would be very concerned with nitrous oxide performance (not that injectors would even have anything to do with a wet shot of nitrous at least.)

I'm with the Colonel...

The could have kept the injectors and given us a 12 bolt....then it would respond better to mods!!!

98's were kinda dogish for a LS1, in 99 they upgaded to larger injectors. 00 they have a little bit larger cam and free'er flowing exhaust manifolds (kinda like shorties) 01-02 little bit smaller cam than 00 but the LS6 intake manifold and no EGR, with the same exhaust manifolds.
nope, '98 had the larger injectors. '99 got smaller ones.

camshaft was the same from '98 thru 00. They went to a smaller cam in '01 and '02.

exhaust manifolds were stainless steel in '98 - 99, then cast iron in '00 - 02. Supposedly the cast iron ones flow better. Has this ever been tested or proven though ??

does it really matter, my restrictive stainless steel manifolds got replaced with some LT's anyway
