Hello all from west texas I was detoured to this site by some friends from FullSizeChevy.com.
My original question was wanting to know about changing the manifold on my stock 5.3L to that of an LS1...A few post later it was recommended I drop in a Z06 Cam and some LS6 heads and an LS6 Manifold but I would run into problems as in alot more than just those few items would need replaced...anyone have an idea of what I have set myself up for? BTW Work and creativity are not an issue.

Hello from farthest west texas! About your question, the ZO6 intake would be the one you want, it's a better design than the early(98-00) LS1. I believe that 01-02 LS1 engines already have the ZO6 intake. As far as problems that you would confront in swapping the heads, sounds like you might want to post this question in "internal engine." I know there's alot of guys on this board that could help. Welcome to the board!
