Casting numbers/part numbers??? I bought this LS setup from a wrecker they had sayed it was a 03 chevy truck 5.3L.The casting number on the block is 12551358
the hardware number on the computer is 16220610 Service number 09354896.
Can anyone tell me whether this is an 03 5.3L or is it older and is it even a 5.3
i think the only differences from 4.8 to 5.3 was the stroke so how can I tell any hints???
