98 Z28 for a 00 WS6
I have a 98 Z28 6sp with 119k. Its stock except for a lid. My question is would it be a good idea to trade for a 2000 WS6 with 140k and A4. Its stock. Two years newer but more miles...someone please help!

In my honest oppinion, It's all about what you like. There will be pros and cons with both.
To name a few:
Pros...
The TA is newer
It's an automatic (good for a daily driver or track car) your choice
Appearance IMO is better than that of a camaro
Less chance of breaking that precious 10 bolt rearend with an Auto. lol!
Cons...
The automatic is more likely to go out than that 6 Speed. (especially considering the miles)
The TA has more miles on it
And the TA also may end up costing a little more for insurance depending on your age.
Thats just a couple things to think about, But really It all depends on WHAT YOU WANT!
And you should post some pictures and maybe a video of the 2 cars. Kinda helps others know what their talking about. As far as which is better, They both are F-Body's neither is better. They have the same powerplant, but interior and exterior options vary!
Good Luck

I'd keep the Camaro. The WS6 looks better, but it has more miles and the auto will bore you to death. Plus, unless you know it's history, you don't know what you're getting into with it. At least you know how you've taken care of your Camaro and have a better idea of what's more likely to go wrong with it.
And IMO year doesn't really make much difference with these cars, 98-02 are all the same except for minor details.

Like every1 else said its really up to you.The 02 looks good but also look at the mechanical.Your getting an upgrade with the auto trans as far as et stands, but also its still alot of miles and this guy sounds desperate to trade or sell for some reason.Just keep your eyes open and good luck.

id go drive it and check everything over. dont listen to everyone that says autos blow. the only thing that sucks about them is that they break easier. as far as the fun factor and "slow" as most say just put a stall in it.
its all a matter of personal opinion on which car is better. i personally like camaros better. so i got one instead of a ta. but thats just me.

I can't see anyone who's used to driving a M6 being happy going to an A4 unless they constantly are in traffic or just physically can't work the clutch anymore.

You just have to remember you are trading headache for headache. You have no clue how that car will handle or what is even wrong with it. Atleast you know what is wrong with your car (if anything) or the way it handles. The trade you have no possible clue. You will be going off of what the owner is telling you.
50% of the time people trade or sell their car for an issue they cant solve.

Well I'm goin down saturday to drive it and look at it. I talked to the seller for an hour or more last night and sounded pretty straight through. He said plainly, he just wants a 6sp Camaro instead of a Trans Am

Well thats what I thought, but when I talked to him he said he drove his friends SS which had the 6sp and he said he loved it. So I will see when I go down there. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side....is that a make or break deal?

Ok guys, how do I handle a trade. I'm talking about what do I need to do with the title? Do I write up a bill of sale? What do I write on title where it asks the dollar amount paid for the car? I just don't know what to do in a trade situation. Anybody who knows please give your input. Thanks
