Default How to tell if I have a vett engine in my TA

I just traded my stang for the 98 TA the guy told me that the motor was out of a 98 vett, that they changed it out? So I was wondering if the guy was full of sh@t or not, How do I tell if it is or not? the number on the heads are 806, but also I have read that there is no deff between the Ls1 in the vett and the TA??

there is no difference.

a vette ls1 intake would not have EGR, but most likely the engine is the same, even if it was out of a vette.

+1 with what he said and you said the heads are 806 which is the head number for the 98's. You can change the heads out with a set of 243's which flow a whole lot better and slap a LS6 intake on it and then when you start doing alot of modding or mods your see a pretty good gain.
