L92's (LS3) would be my first choice for an OEM head.

243 & 799's off the LS6 & LS2 cars are good too. They are better than 317's if you are not going F/I because you will get a nice compression bump. But any of the genIII castings will "work." I have ported 5.3 (706) castings with bigger valves on my car....

I concur with the L92. They flow as well as a ported head right out of the box and are relatively cheap.

First choice would be L76 & second would be the L92 IM from the trucks... LS6 is for cathedrsal ports and won't work...

Heres why>>>>>>>https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...omparison.html

The rectangular intake ports on the L92 head also requires the use of an offset rocker arm.
