there is no room in our dash without cutting it.
I have a bonneville hud here, and i tried to make it work on my Ws6 yesterday.

but without cutting the sheetmetal under the dash, to mount the hud unit, flush, it will not work. i have pics of the unit, and the display in the post above.
it won't just plug in, but the wiring, for the older bonneville style hud units are just simple +12 volt and a standard GM 4000 pulse/mile speedometer. The vette ones, first off, sell for $400 used, as they do just plug into the newer vettes and there is a demand for them, and second, are a lot more complex, and im not even sure if the electronics could be adapted unless you are an EE.
there are some "set on the dash" types, but im not a fan of them. I want an oem style one.
