the ls6 cam will be a dog with stock stall and gears. it only picks up from a LS1 cam above 4500rpm. if you take a C5Z for a ride you can even feel that. depending on what exhaust you have you can pick a cam to maximize your goals. spring change intervals is truly the only good thing about the LS6 cam.

just for an example here is my setup. its got some minor head work done by me. after these tests I smoothed out the intake path a bit and a underdrive pulley it made 382rwhp/370rwtq.

I agree, instead of doing the LS6 cam do a cheatr cam like the new V2 from Thunder Racing. It will still drive like stock and work with your stock stall/gears.

my car ran OK with an ls6 cam with stock stall, manifolds and gears.

solid 108-109 traps and a high of 110. nothing great but it was ok.

well my ls6 set up consisting of 2002+ ls6 cam custom grind with 115 lsa instead of 116 stock, ls6 243 heads, slp tuned length headers no cats, slp lm1, tune, k&n fipk, stock intake and throttle body, put down 385 rwhp 388 rwtq, not sure on quarter mile time but using my own set up for speed traps its right around 115, to 116 on the gps and speedo because they both read the same and this is all through the amazing 4L60E!!!!! stock stall stock 3.23 gears, coming soon ls6 intake and trans go shift kit
