once you do this mod, you won't have hot coolant running through your throttle body, which only heats up the intake air. you'll have a bit cooler intake charge, thus a couple extra horses.

Keeps hot coolant out of the tb and lower temps of air exiting it...Its original purpose is so things dont freeze but myself along w/ others never had any problems after in cold weather.

just don't buy the kit they sell on egay for, like $10.00 or whatever. you can get the parts you need at home depot for less than 2.00

Just don't expect any significant gain from this. Yes, in theory it's a good mod, but nobody has ever gained noticeable horsepower on the dyno or trap speeds at the track after doing this mod.

For $2 though, why not do it I guess.

Agreed, don't expect any ET drop, but it's too cheap not to do.

It does nothing in terms of making power.

Agreed, I personally think it is a waste of time and effort.

The only reason I did this mod was because I switched to a FAST intake and if I remember correctly it doesn't have anything so I had to do the bypass mod. Besides it really does nothing. if you lived where it gets real cold I'm sure it would be beneficial to not do this mod

you'll never notice a difference. all you need is a piece of hose and 2 hose clamps though.

Down here in the south its pointless to have hot coolant in your TB. It soulda only came on "northern" edition cars.
