Default Are stock rods bad?

When do you want to upgrade from stock rods? Are 6.125 rods actually that much better or does it really matter? Do you want to change rods for a stroker? Is there much hp gain from a lighter after market rods?

the main concern about stock ls1 rods is the rod bolt.if you are upgrading with a crank and pistons a aftermarket rod is the safe ting to do.a longer rod helps with your rod to stroke ratio,1.5 is ok 1.6 will make a little more power and less thrusting on the out side bore wall.

Stock rods are good up to 500hp but the rod bolts should be replaced w/ ARP rod bolts.
