Default Just got a 1998 cam ls1 cop car

I took the car out to the track and ran a best of 13.61 @102. all stock. I like get input from everybody on any mods for the like tranny,gears,tuners,intake and anything else. thanks mark

IMO, before modding I would start with the basics. Your ET wasn't bad, but 102mph is a bit on the slow side, even for a stock car. I would suggest covering all basic maintenance/tune-up items (filters/fluids/plugs/wires, MAF & injector cleaning). If you have an OBD scanner or access to a scanner, I'd do some basic scanning to look for out-of-line fuel trim, O2, TPS, and timing/knock retard readings or stored codes as well, just in case.

what rear gear do you have ?you can find the code on the left door jam.look for a ls6 intake for sale on this forum for $300.start looking at exhaust systems.whats your budget?how fast do you want to go?read alot of threads and stickies to figure what you want to do.what tranny?

That runs alot better than mine does, im pulling 13.90's at 100-101.5 thats with 3.23's in the rear and weight reduction

Those are pretty much stock LT1 times, and you ran that with a lid & cutout? Something isn't running right, either trans or engine.
