AFAIK there were no 17" wheels for non-WS6 cars. Different year rim set? Maybe. Those look different, somehow...

FYI some 2001's also came with Thin Spoke WS.6's but since it was the last year was technically 2000, they had extras and some cars got them. I do very much agree with 96 FB formy.

The wheels on that car (what you guys are calling the "thin spoke") were offered in various finishes from 1996 to 2002 on the WS6.

- '96 was silver painted format
- '97-01 (very early '01 only, probably only 5% of '01 WS6s) was polished format
- '02 was only offered in black, and only available on the Collector Edition cars.

The "thick spoke" Speedline wheels were used for the vast majority of the '01 and all of the non-CE '02 WS6 cars. This style of wheel was not new for '01, they were used on some mid-'90s Firehawks and also the '95 Comp TA, then re-introduced for the WS6 package in 2001.

My 01 came with those rims on the OP's car. It was an early 01 so like someone stated got the leftovers. The 02 speedlines come up for sale every so often on here and Ive seen them on tech but the thin spokes are much more common to find up for sale.

There're three sets on ebay right now. Well, two if you're in New York 'cause that seller won't ship. Or, one of my plans is to piece the set together-I always see 1 or 2 of these wheels pop up for sale. It'll cost more and take longer to accomplish, but it'll happen...

If anything else, thats generally all that I see offered around here, very rare to see a good set of Polished Thin Spoke WS.6's that are rashless.
