Looks like there is a lot of information stating that no MRM WS6 was ever built, but I sure do have a strong memory of seeing one on a Pontiac dealer lot back in '00 when I was shopping for WS6s.

I've never seen another one, but I can't come up with any other explanation for that memory (and this was definitely a brand new car at the time, must've been the fall of '99 so it would have been an early '00 car).

I general to me the best years to get odd ball colors would be 1998 and 1999. Def no mrm.

Code 96U, Red-Orange Metallic (Pontiac)/Cayenne Red Metallic (Chevy) was dropped after 1998.

There was no shade of dark red for 1999.

Code 44U, Maple Red Metallic (Pontiac)/Monterey Maroon Metallic (Chevy) was introduced in 2000, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I stand corrected For some reason I thought it ran through 2000 and was replaced by SOM for 01-02. But it prolly explains why I have only seen one other one...

Yeah, it's pretty rare to see, and honestly I think it's nicer than SOM. If you mix SOM with MRM/MMM, you would pretty much have the same color as ROM/CRM.

When I was looking through all my old literature on these colors to get the codes, I noticed a note next to 44U/MRM stating that it was N/A with RPO WS6. But I'm still 100% certain that I saw one very early in the '00 model year. Maybe the dealer did it custom for someone that ended up not buying it....only reason I would have seen it on the lot new. I wish I had copied down the VIN back then.

Everything in this thread is correct. No MRM WS6s. But I do have one of the 6 speed Hursts and tan interior. I haven't really searched for the interior breakdown, but the tan interior is a rare thing from what I've seen at the Trans Am Nationals and with other MRM Bird owners on this site.

I bought mine in Feb. 2005 down near Columbus, OH. But here is the eerie part. Check out this thread. -->

This guy bought his in June. We met at a local car show, and he lives about 1.5 miles away from me. How crazy is that? I'm willing to be this is the car you were looking at. Search his name for more pics.

Yep, that's my car.

After show season **** started going ape on the car (it's in the other thread) and I still need to deal with that rear deck.

On topic, nope no WS6 cars but IIRC there were 4 Firehawks made in '02. So those 4 if they haven't been wrecked or claimed in C4C are the only true Ram Air Maple Reds in existence.

I'm planning on making mine one of probably several thousand now since everyone and their uncle slaps on a WS6 hood and lid first thing. Personally I prefer the Firehawk hoods.. Looks cleaner and less cluttered up front.
