Headers hey guys, ive been looking around and there are WAAAAAAYYY too many threads talking about headers. just looking on ebay, what headers do these compare to? they are cheap but stainless so they cant be THAT bad. just curious, if these are good i might get them but if they are crap im def gonna get kooks or arh.

also, is the egr or AIR necessary? i know my truck headers came with it on the headers but we cut it off and ground it down and welded it. but if i buy a set with the egrs on it, do i need to hook them up?

For the money, they're not bad. There are plenty of threads about ebay headers though, might want to look through them and find the specific sellers guys have had success with. Also, go race with the headers !air and egr

I got my headers for $170 shipped. I'm not going to advertise any sellers, but it might be wise to find one that advertises "make an offer".
It doesn't matter the seller....it's all the same brand.
Also, you can use block off plates for the A.I.R. I had to mod the egr holes to make the plate for it work...no biggie.

im not going to get a built ory. my friend is an amazing welder and i think we might run true duals to the muffler then y them in the muffler or get a magnaflow with dual in dual out. the piping that the guy before me had on here is so ghetto. its all different shapes and forms and it leaks so were gonna build our own kit. if i buy the headers, i wont be able to afford a tune for a while which isnt that bad though cause running without the rear o2's for a while doesnt change anything. i know i wouldnt get the full amount of power from the headers but instead of fabricating new piping to fit the manifolds i might as well get headers while im at it.
careful what you buy from ebay for cheap, it might not last for so long,cheap material. i bought headers a few years ago that were stainless and lasted about a year before they completly rotted through.
yea i agree with the trust thing BUT at the same time, ive seen a few guys that have run them and had zero problems. i had the non coated pacesetters on my truck and hated them. they warped like a **** and with 304 stainless these cant b that bad but who knows. its gonna come down to either getting a tune to get rid of the rear o2s and speedometer reading 10mph due to my tires or lts then tune. ill see once i get the car back from the shop saturday and how much extra green i have.
Those headers are pretty good. I have the Speed Daddys on my GTP and love them. Had them for about a year and they still look good, besides the rainbow effect. I dont know how they are on the LS1, but for the price you cant beat em.
