vin question i am looking at a ls1/t56 combo Saturday, the owner says it has 42k on it but i want to be certain. Is there a easy way to figure out the mileage? Can the ecm be scanned somewhere easily? dose the engine have a complete vin somewhere? or is it just a partial vin?

From that, it would seem that it is only be stored in the gauge cluster, which makes sense because if you swap gauge clusters the millage will stay with the gauge cluster. If he has the car it came out of I would say look at the gauge cluster.
