Default Just bought a 98 z28

Whats goin on guys.. I've been a member of this forum for a while but i haven't owned an s1 in 4 years. Finally came a cross a good deal and picked up a white 98 z28 for $3200 with 77k on it... talk about a steal. The only bad thing it has a small dent in the front bumper and the paint could use some TLC. It has 18in c6z06 wheels and everything else is stock. It feels good to be back!

Aut or manual? Car have any problems?

That is a DAMN good price considering the mileage. Congrats on the pick up.

Ground effect kit looks nice, I'm slightly jealous.

Awesome deal OP. You'll really get some nice years of enjoyment out of your LS1 assuming you take care of it. 77K is nothing on these cars. Congrats

Wow! I knew the LS1 engines could last well past 200K, but didn't know of many. You have any problems with yours? Is it still running strong?

Its an auto.. had a service engine light on so i ran the code came up as a torque converter clutch solenoid circuit.. Seems like a short im guessing but i really have no idea. It already has the SLP lid, first thing i gotta do has got to be exhaust.. longtubes, O/R y pipe, idk what brand of catback i want though.. I want to get a good used intake manifold, and eventually throttle body, MAF and a good tune

After the bolt ons are complete I plan on doing a cam only setup, anyone have any good suggestions?

Last edited by Jmac29; 08-02-2011 at 11:29 PM. Reason: cant delete the MAF obviously haha

nope i havent had any problems with it at all since i bought it (knock on wood) and it runs strong for the amount of mileage it has. doesnt burn or leak a drop of oil. its pretty much stock beside a lid and cat back but i had to do things like change fluids and a tune up when i got it. its also my dd

I recently snapped some pics of it with an Ipod but can someone please tell me how to upload them? There should be one in the sig but its to small to really see it. Also when i was fixing wheel studs in the back i noticed it has bilstein shocks, .. are bilsteins any good on a z28?
