How much is a swap for an lq4 normally run? I was talking w David up here in g-town and he said an lq9 would handle the procharger no problem. which would be better for a DD and the power I'm looking for, the lq4 or the lq9?
edit:
Also could I just put on some 6.0L heads on my ls1? I'm not too concerned about the bottom end of the motor I have seen ls1's that have pushed 500-600 hp on the stock bottom for over 150K+ miles. I was just thinking the lower compression on the 6.0L heads would be enough seeing as I would never push more than 7-10 psi.

hm would not let me edit-
I would actually like to try and stay away from a whole engine swap(just more money).
I have done some more research and Im confident the bottom end of my ls1 would be fine pushing above what i want. Im thinking the lq4 heads... 317 i think is the casting # would give me the lower compression i need for the procharger. I can get them P&P for cheep and while im getting that done do a valve job too. Then upgrade the moving bits, dual springs and hardened push rods; ARP head bolts are a must; would the stock rockers be good, and would I need to upgrade my lifters?
ps:
this is awesome thanks for the help guys im just trying to get all the info I can now and start putting a list together I am stoked to start this after I have finished school.
