Default Switched to synthetic Amzoil. High oil pressure???

I just recently switched to full synthetic amzoil 5-30, and have driven around 2k miles and my oil pressure is reading above 3/4 and my change oil light comes on. the light goes off as the car warms up but the oil pressure is still high. The light does not come on all the time tho. I have a 2000 trans am Ws6. Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I think the light is programmed to come on after a certain mileage. Mine hasn't come on in a long time (probably 5 changes) so I stopped worrying about it. About the high pressure, it wasn't doing it before you switched correct? I know the gauges in the car are pretty crappy and not accurate. Although I might switch to this stuff if it helps the pressure some since at idle mine is below 40

The increased oil pressure is normal. To reset the oil light turn your key to the on position, but don't start it. Hold down your trip needle for 12 seconds or until the oil light goes off.
