Oil change?
I changed my oil in Oct. '02 at 630 miles. It's been a while but i only have about 1800 miles on the car now. Should the oil be changed even though I haven't been putting miles on it?

I agree, a year and a half is about the absolute maximum you want to go on a car that is driven infrequently. Once per year is probably the best way to do it.

Jiffy Lube is the main one who keeps this old wives tale alive. With an engine in good shape, and a quality synthetic oil, changing it every 6000 miles or one year is totally reasonable. I just went 6200 miles on my last oil change, and ran the oil from October 11 to March 13, and will have my oil analysis results this afternoon or tomorrow, and I'm fully confident the report will show I could've gone longer on that oil if I wanted to. In fact I plan on doing two more 6200 mile intervals (10,000km) and then will be most likely switching to 9300 mile intervals (15,000km)
