what yr motor ,and what head casting numbers ?get some price quotes from local head porters and compare to some ls tech vendors, like TSP.to pick a cam you will need to tell people every thing about the engine and the car it is being used in.

Ive been spraying a 200 shot on my stock 5.3 for 5 years and never had a problem, dynoed 341rwhp with cam, tune, and longtubes, I did replace the connecting rod bolts with the oem arp bolts, I eventually did p&p 862s and a tbss intake, went 7.40 @ 91 my cam is a custom grind from comp, 224/230 .581/.588 112. I have about 86k on the clock started spraying at 38k, I wouldnt worry about it to much, theres guys spraying 100-150 shots on 5.3s with over 200k on em.

well unless you have a built trans its gonna explode cus the 4l60e sucks in these trucks once you start adding power, i would suggest a shift kit, corvette servo, will prolong the life of the trans until you can get it built, or swap it with an 80e.

Circle d, sells em, or finish line transmissions, or a reputable trans builder, for the top of the line finish line trans I think its 2500$ that why I said just get an 80e and stall and be done with it.
