What are all these connections for?
I have an LS2 crate motor that I bought in 2005. It has never turned a wheel yet, but I plan to have it running in my project this spring. I am puzzled by all the little connections mostly on the top and at the front of the engine and wondered if anyone could help me. I have an Edelbrock intake with a Demon carburettor setup. The connections are:-
1, Top rear of left side valve cover. Comes with a black pull off rubber cap.
2, Top front of right valve cover. Looks like a breather, but points forward and sticks out from under the coil mount. Comes with a red plastic cap.
3, Very small diameter steel tube that connects each cylinder head and has a branch off that comes with a yellow plastic cap.
4, Front right of valley cover and angles up and forward about 45 degrees. Also looks like it should be a breather. I am guessing that one of these needs to go to my air cleaner for crankcase vent?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I need a gauge for that

1. exit of pcv setup, usually goes to a vacuum source or the intake
2. entrance side of the pcv, usually goes to a metered fresh air source like the back of the tb
3. coolant steam tubes, gets rid of any air pockets present in the heads for they are totally filled with coolant
4. also a vent for the crankcase pcv

That's helpful. Thanks. So given that it is a carburetted engine, can I connect
1, To intake or under carb vacuum?
2, To the air cleaner?
3, Bleed off air then cap?
4, Air cleaner or intake vacuum?
