Cutting Coil Springs
Ok, I know this is a newbie question and well I don't really want to mess up my extra set of springs but i just wanted to know what you guys mean by when you say cut 1 coil? do you all have pics of it? or do you all cut from the bottom? anyone have a write up? thanks

I cut 1 full coil from the top of the rear springs on my 02 Z28 and it lowered the rear almost 3/4". This brought the rear height even with the front of the vehicle. I used an angle grinder and constantly dipped the spring in cold water to avoid losing its temper. I thought the car looked better and I had no issues with the set-up.

I have a 96 Trans Am and I cut 1 coil and a 1/4 all the way around.It drop it about 1".I cut the bottom all the way around.Just don't cut the small end.I don't know if 98 and up are the same ?Maybe this will help.
