Hey guys, newbie to the LSx swap crowd here. I just got my cast 5.3 from a 2003 silverado with 30k mi. I got her broke down and cleaned up and polished. I am not looking to do anything mroe than just a stock swap at the moment. It is going into my '92 Z28. Ordered my mounts and new clamshells today. So I guess here is my list.

What I have:
-5.3L LM7 (from intake to oil pan)
-Wiring harness and ECM from 2003 Silverado (truck is a DBW and the wiring harness is the blue/green)
-Motor mounts and clamshell mount brackets
-F-body front accessory drive (running p/s and a/c)
-Stock LS1 exhaust manifolds

What I need:
-F-body oil pan
-LS1 wiring harness and ECM (or will truck one work?)
-transmission (i would like to go manual but have been told auto is a better choice since this will almost be a DD)

What I'm looking for in swap:
I am looking to just do a bare stock LS1 swap for now (do not have a huge budget). Main goal is to get her up and running in the next 2 months. After that I will start fine tuning for more HP little by little.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated guys/gals! Glad to have found this community.

The drive by wire throttle body will work but you will need a pedal as well. I would go with a cable throttle body so you can use your existing throttle cable and pedal.

I just purchased a full intake setup from another member on here (Thanks, Ebush!). It came with the stock DBC tb, intake, fuel rails and injectors. So I am set there now. Editing post to remove what I have acquired.

Since I cannot post on the classifieds, does anyone know where I could get my hands on a decently priced front drive accessories (f-body)? I live literally like 15 mins from Hawks Third Gen, but they are asking $900 for ones pulled from a wreck salvage. That seems a bit crazy to me considering you can get the chrome set from March for not a whole lot more than that. Sorry if it is "taboo" to to post anything WTB in these forums.

*EDIT* Would it be better to go with a 4l60e or 4l80e for a tranny behind this engine? I heard the 60e will just bolt right up and go. Is it the same with the 80e?

60e is a weaker ans physically smaller transmission. It should be fine since you want to remain stock

Editing the OP to show what I now have and what I still need. Also here are some pics of my harness and ECM from the 5.3 I pulled from the Silverado. Just wanting to make sure they can be used or not before I start with the daunting task of reworking the harness for my swap.
