Default Engine swap help

Not sure if I'm in the right spot or not, sorry in advance if it is ...

The car is a 57 bel air. Current combo is a 383 stroker with a 5 speed Richmond overdrive. I want to keep the 5 speed, but I'm over the motor. I'm thinking about a lq4 or lq9. Ive owned mustangs for years and know nothing about ls stuff.
What are my options? What kinda power do they make factory? Ideally I would like to put a cam in it and go. Not looking to make crazy power. Maybe 350ish rwhp.
Any help and info would be much appreciated. Thx in advance.

Rick

LQ9 would make more power being higher compression. you could use a texas speed 220 ish cam and easily be over that mark. if your trying to keep the beliar Carb it makes your swap even easier. use the MSD timing trigger box for LSx motors and the edelbrock intake and a 4bbl. the rest is searching to find what clutch and flywheel you need to use for that transmission but if i remember correctly the t56, super t-10, and 4 speed muncie were the only GM transmissions that could hold up t the power. good luck with the build
