241's LS1 Heads or 243's LS6 heads????? OK So my friend told me to get 243 heads for my T/A but I got to thinking, since I have 241's how much difference could there be right? So I'm thinkg I could just take my heads and get them blue printed port and polish and get the exhualst ports board out a little bit. Would that be better or should I just get the 243's and get those to a machine shop to get them cleaned up? |

243/799 heads are worth 15 more hp then 241 heads. |
well 243's it is then and yea after i posted this i eventually found a thread on this subject couldnt find it at first so i made this thread thanks for all the input guys. |
If it's between say AI ported 241s and stock 243s (that you never plan on touching) then I would go with the AI 241s. But if it's a hand ported/amateur 241s then I would choose the 243s. Though if you ever plan on going further down the road, go with the 243s as they have more room to go vs. the maxed out 241s that you could have. |
