Neutral safety/Backup light switch

Neutral safety/Backup light switch NO REVERSE LIGHTS FOR ME.
On my 99 Camaro automatic trans can someone tell me where it is located, if i have to drop the trans to get to it, if this could even be the prob if the fuses are good and the bulbs are good??? I have to get this fixed for inspection, my wife will not let me work on the car. I just need some info on it and maybe its location so i can maybe sneak it up on ramps and try to replace this switch or maybe it is just unplugged.
