Default 1998 C5 breaking up

Hey guys, Just bought myself a 1998 C5 from the auction so I do not know much about it, but I plan on keeping it. It looks and defiantly feels that there is work done to the motor. I can see that it has headers and what not and it looks as if the cylinder is new. Any way it seems to break up in the top end around the 4000 rpm range and up. It pops and cuts out when you get on it. I have a little scanner that tells me low input from knock sensor bank 2. Could bad knock sensors cause this. Also there is a fuel lean rich gauge sensor in the car that goes back and forth between rich and lean.

A/f ratio gauges do that. You can google how to read it. Basically where it pegs to the right is your a/f ratio. But wideband are alot better. Non wide band a/f ratio gauges are worthless IMO

No I do not have a fuel pressure gauge I could put on it. I was told that the bad knock sensor retards timing so that would be the reason for it breaking up? Does that sound right?

Knock sensors pull timing, when mine were bad I got Ses codes and the car ran fine, just sluggish. Last time I had issues with breaking up a set of plugs took care of the issue. Check wires as well they seem to cause me issues since I bought cheap wires and they don't clip on/come loose sometimes.

Also check fuel, I never had issues like yours, when my pump failed the car just shut off.
