Default 04 gto + 102 mm tb

I have a buddy that got a little ahead of himself on moding, he has a 04 gto with full exhaust, filter, and a Diablo canned tune. Well then came across a 102 tb put it on then started running like crap. So he took it off and it went back to normal but now is doing it again. Could have putting that on thrown of the tune or anything like that?

It starts to just bog down like it has no power...
And help or advice would be nice or point me to a thread. I tried a.search but couldn't find what I was looking for besides he needs big cubes or f/i

Man to be honest I don't know what kind of tb it is. Do they not make one that big for a gto? I'm just trying to help him while he is out of town. He works in the oil field than isn't near his car. Thats why I posted this, I will try and.make it over there this week and take a look. And see what kind it is

He had an adapter, but it's his idle air control valve.

a 102,101,96,95,92,or 90mm TB on a stock 3 bolt intake is a complete waist of time, energy, and money. It would be about as useful as a 6" exhaust tip on a 2.5" tail pipe.

Yep. You need larger displacement or a londer duration cam to take advantage of the increased amount of air. Otherwise you are actually hurting your performance.

Stick with the stoker or a ported TB until you increase the cubes.
