Default Newbie Lsx s13 swap.

Hey guys. New to the Lsx world, in fact in the past I've referred to anything gm as the Antichrist. I've done several swaps in the past, several Rb skyline motors into s13s, a 2jz into an fd3s rx7, sr20s into s13s but now I'm swapping an Lsx into my Nissan Silvia. Picked up an l33 the other day with unknown km from a buddy and have a t56 on the way. Right now I'm cleaning up the engine and going to start making mounts. Just finished doing tubs in the front to clear my new wheels and engine bay is getting painted soon. Anyways onto my questions. My l33 has 799 heads, I hear they are less desireable? I'm looking to make over 400hp so I was thinking ls intake, cam, exhaust? Will this get me there or wI'll I need more? Sorry for typical newb questions

The 799 heads are the most desirable GM head if your keeping it N/A. They are the same as the 243 casting (ls6/ls2). I would definitely do at least a ls6 intake manifold, long tubes, and a cam. Are you looking for 400 crank hp or rear wheel hp out of this 5.3L ?

check Texas Speed for the engine parts you mite need.you can get a ls6 intake for $300 or less.also consider a BBK intake for the same price .a fast intake mite gain you 10-15 hp if the ports align .you cam choice all depends on crank or wheel HP.consider some 13/4 headers and a good Y-pipe.

Thanks for the input guys. I'd like to make over 400 at the wheels, not sure at all what can to go with. I've been meaning to put a wanted ad up for an intake manifold and some other stuff but I guess I need more posts first. Also I'd Definately like to keep it na and reliable.
