How long have you had the shocks?
Most new shocks have a warranty, I'd contact the the retailer that sold them to you.

The shocks most likely were defective before even leaving the manufacture.

When you say the rear suspension is new, what exactly do you mean? And you say struts are bad, but the rear has shocks.

I hate to break this bad news to you but a Camaro doesn't have struts on the front. They have coilover shocks. Get you a good set of DA shocks and some 300# springs. That ought to do it.

Matt never said that it had struts on the front though

Since you just bought the car I would call and ask the previous owner how long the shocks have been on there and if he has any warranty paperwork. New shocks should just about last the life of the car unless they are stock. If they were stock I'd replace them regardless of miles so you could put that 550 to good use

Front of 4th gen Fbody is coil over shock, they are not struts. We have upper and lower control arms in the front, strut setups do not have upper control arms.
3rd gens and 5th gens have struts.
