running lights question
Ok are the running lights/turn signal lights supposed to be on when you start the car? Or do they only come on when you turn the light switch one click? Its been a while and I cant remember LOL. I had a turn signal out and I just replaced it and was just curious. Thx for any input

front turn signals should be on regardless as long as you havent disabled the drl system. head lights and tail lights only if you turn the switch on or its dark enough to trigger the ambient light sensor in the dash

The daytime running lights are actually brighter than just having the park lights turned on.
The DRLs, and I assume we are talking about Trans Am/Firebirds rather than Camaro, will not come on until you release the parking brake. If you start an auto trans TA while it is in park the DRLs don't come on until the brake handle is released. I'm not sure if it works the same way on a manual trans.
So if you are testing them to see if they work, remember to release the brake.

Now it makes sense. Yeah its a Trans-Am I was checking them and they were not on. Then I saw them in the reflection in the car ahead of me when I was driving. LOL didn't know about the parking break. Thanks!!!! much appreciated
