i have 317 heads and will keep them on the car. I can not understand cams for some reason. I want around 400 whp. its a t56 car. i only wanna speed around 500 bucks for the cam valve springs and what ever else i need. i want lope. Ive considered ls6 cam.

For $500 it's not going to happen, even with a new Hot-cam kit since you still need a tune at a minimum. Buying used is the only way possible for $500
FYI, NO lope with the ls6 cam.

Try to get everything used and install it yourself.

Make it a small cam.
Big cam + low compression= no low end torque.

Another thing get that number out of your head, numbers don't mean jack ****. My "340rwhp" H/C GTO has put to shame several cars making much more than I am
