Default My first ls1 build. Need some intake selection help

I have a few choices as to which intake to use on a H/C/I ls1 build for my camaro. The choices are as follows: ls6 , weiand lingenfelter or fast 78. I'm leaning toward the fast 78 myself. However in the future I may want to hit the motor with a 150 shot. I am trying to get an intake to cover me now and down the road. Anyone have any experiences with the weiand or fast please give me some feedback on them. Thanks.

Fast 78 is obsolete where would you get one?
Do a LS6 or if budget allows Fast 92

I had aquired the fast 78 ,ls6 and the lingenfelter as part of a trade a while back. I was curious to know if given those choices of intakes what would be the best choice for my intended use as outlined above. Also what TB should i use? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Weiand is metal correct? If so it will more than likely heat soak. I would go with the FAST 78 with a ported factory throttle body.

I like the fast intake .but if you end up doing the nos alot ,keep the alumimun intake.no coolant goes through the intake ,so not much heat is in the intake .studderin did a intake dyno test with those intakes ,the bbk was kind of the winner.

Yes the weiand intake is aluminum. I know the fast 78 is obsolete now but this is what i have to work with. Which TB should I use? What injectors and fuel rail should i look for? Stock or aftermarket? How much cam can the stock computer handle? With a tune of course. Thanks for the info guys.

42lb injectors will work great for a h/c combo and for nitrous down the road..

Keep stock MAF, keep stock TB (port it if you want)

Use the fast 78, keep your stock fuel rails!

Your computer (PCM) can be tuned for any combo you can think of from a reputable tuner..

More importantly make sure your H/C combo has all the necessary supporting mods to make it successful!

Good luck
