Just need the right tools. With the coil packs removed, I think I just used a 3/8" ratchet with a spark plug socket and a 1" or 1.5" extension. Makes getting it from the top really easy.

exactly........

much easier from the top....
really..in a stock situation you have to pull off those heat sheilds, and all the coil pack with bracket on top of the valve cover...you can get the last one from the top after that...

I'm about to turn 110,000 miles on my 2000 'bird, and I've had very few problems. The major items were a couple of cats (while under warranty though), and a brake booster. Other items such as tires (76,000 miles) are just normal maintenance items. I drive it everyday, race it on a weekly basis (109 passes to date) and I enjoy every minute of it!
