will this fit?

Hey I found a smashn deal on a moser 9" with 4.10s here local. The rear came off a 3 channel abs 97 camaro z28. He is selling it with his brakes and everything still on it. Will this work on my 2000 formula 4 channel abs? idc if traction control works or not

Nobody? interesting

ragtopz28 04-16-2014 07:20 PM

I believe the answer is yes...someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Or you could call a vendor that sells em, they could tell you.

It seems like all I would have to do is unhook my brake lines and hook the ones on it up. Other than that i feel like everything else is direct same. I hope so 1600 bucks for a moser 9" with 410s would be sweet!

You would have to add the reluctor rings to the axles along with the abs sensors. 3 channel abs only has one abs sensor that reads a reluctor wheel on the pinion gear.

If it already uses f body brakes you can use the backing plates with abs sensors from your rear and just get axles with reluctor wheels on them or just put some tape in front of your abs light.LOL

personally idc if my abs works or not. I thin they seem dangerous anyways.lol

Im bringing this back up because this rear is still for sale and I am considering it. Once again mine is a 4 channel abs with traction control. The rear came out of a 97 camaro. moser 9" 4.10s, 31 spline.

My next question is: will my stock torque arm fit? will my stock drive shaft fit? and what exactly is up with the reluctor ring?

Fullen 04-29-2014 09:27 PM

As far as the torque arm goes, I think it should still fit. The driveshaft probably won't work. The reluctor rings would need to be pressed on to your axles. Just swap backing plates over to the 9".
