Default General guidelines for increasing HP?

just was curios about what you guys think would be the top 5 mods for increasing horsepower, if you could also include the price of each mod...just thought this would be a great way to learn about modding a car, and newbies such as me could benefit from it...

That question is just a little broad. Do you want five bolt-ons, or just five mods? Only horsepower increase, not just peformance? Obviously nitrous gives the biggest boost in power, but only temporarily. A converter is a great A4 mod, but doesn't give power, etc.

My personal list for bolt ons would be: (order of importance may vary)
Lid
Cat-back (unless going to true duals with headers soon)
Stickier tires
Converter for A4, !Cags for M6, clutch/rear also comes up as a good M6 mod
Headers
