230 is about what I get to a tank, though I usually fill up once I hit 1/4 when I'm at around 180 miles.

I did seafoam, new O2's, cleaned MAF/TB... 16 mpg is all she'll give

My 00 SS M6 stock with 17x9.5 17x11 wheel combo gets about the same. I'm sort of heavy footed and I average 16 MPG mixed, 18 MPG if I am light footed. 230-250 per fill up.

Lucky you I'm only getting 200 a tank light footing around. But I have notice the brand and grade of gas affect my mileage alot. ExxonMobil and BP I might squeeze 220 235 a tank, but kroger or places that doesn't show percentage of ethanol I barely get 180 to the tank. So I know your pain and welcome to the ls world

Bone stock '99 SS M6 here.
Yeah im only getting about 20mpg with 90% highway driving WTF. My windows stickers says 28mpg GOD DAMN YOU! But i know thats not realistic. However 20mpg for a v8 muscle car is amazing. Just thought id get at least 25mpg with all the highway driving i do. I do 65mph on the highway too.

My '00 Z28 averages 17-20mpg. Maybe 70% highway driving. A4 with 3.73 rear. 93 octane, usually from Exxon. The heaviness of my foot varies.

My Silverado on the other hand gets about 12mpg maybe, sitting on 33s.

Highly depends on what kind of driving you do (city, highway, mixed or all stop n' go) and how hard you get on it.

230 in the city with stop n' go driving all the time is amazing. 230 all highway is crap.

So why don't you tell us a little bit more about how you drive?

Thanks guys for all your inputs.

I usually drive 75% highway/ 25% city

I step on it once in a while but this question really popped up because my friend also told me that from my hometown to San Antonio, he makes it in less than a tank round trip. Thats because he has a bigger motor, gears, etc... and i can barely make it over a little over half way.

:s 02's have been replaced and no codes have popped up. I'm in the same boat as the rest of you guys so now i dont feel that bad

Whats the best way to clean the injectors?? ive done seafoam but only through the gas tank so i dont think that counts.

Keep em comin guys!

Wow, with my setup I'm averaging 18 MPG on a Frost mail order tune...that's with "spirited driving" too.

If everything is "up to date and tuned up" then you should probably visit someone with a scanner and see what your engine is doing. Maybe it's running really rich even with new sensors and stuff.

I daily drove my first f body back in early college and couldn't do it again now that I'm 26. Get a 4cyl for the mileage , you wont be satisfied with a v8 in the city

Are you using sixth gear at 65mph? Some people don't, but this is really low. I get around 30 whenever I make highway trips and I'm going around 70-75 in sixth gear. I don't constantly speed up and switch lanes in traffic though - I usually don't even drive during rush hour. Unless the engine is rebuilt for other purposes, 20mpg highway is bad.

All I know is when I got my T/A in 2000, the gas gauge on my cluster never worked. I ran out of gas many times and changed faulty fuel pumps several times. Maybe it was bc I was running so low in the tank causing trash to foul the pump, or as someone told me those AC delco pumps had been causing alot of trouble. But one thing I can remember is that if I did mostly city driving with a heavy foot I had to fill up around 200-215, I may have had a half gallon left in the tank. Oh, and I dont know if someone changed the tank on this car, but when I did run out of gas I had a full tank at 12 gallons, I think I squeezed 13 gallons in every now and then. I averaged 20 city, and the time I recorded my hwy mpg I recall it being either 24 or 25 mpg. Stock motor btw.
