Hawks Lid ??
Hey whats up guys. So ive been looking for a lid online and ive seen hawk lid pop up on ebay. Now my question. Is it the same as lets say an slp lid. Its about 20$ cheaper. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Imo it looks almost the same. I'd ask them what it's made of to be sure. The reason the SLP lid is so popular is because it's made from more flexible material like the stock air lid so it'll normally last longer than other air lids made of abs plastic that becomes brittle and cracks with age.

its made out of harder plastic but its very durable so far.
You dont need to get a tune with just a lid. Wait until you have more bolt ons like headers, mid pipe etc.
Heres a picture of the lid installed. I hope you guys can see it.

LOl guys that wasn't the question... I have a basically stock car w/ a tune already... and was wondering if a lid would make any improvement to it as is.........and If I make any changes .... the retune is free.... that's how the shop I work with is. Once you pay for a tune or Dyno time any further work and dyno time is free as long as you don't abuse the system. Nice to live 20 mins away from The Original Bully Dog and Power Labs. For a fee of 275.00 I have lifetime tunes... add another 125.00 and Dyno time is added to that.

Yes it is worth it for the price and the fact there is no downside to this modification. You can expect a 5-10hp gain with a lid even on a stock car, tune or not.
