Hey guys, can't find much on this , but can I just bolt on 317 heads without a tune on my ls1? Will the lower compression and larger chambers affect drivability until I get it tuned? I'm in the middle of a turbo build but I need to be able to drive my car a little ways so I can work on the ford 9" a friend is helping me with

Yes you can drive it around with out hurting anything. Just don't swap to bigger injectors untill the turbo goes on and your going to tune.

Awesome, thanks! Once I put injectors and the turbo on I can start it and let it idle and run enough to drive it onto a trailer correct?

Ya it should run enough to get it on the trailer.
