Yo, new guy here. looking for build advice/ideas/opinions

Ok well I may have just registered but have been reading and listening to you guys on this site for over a year now since I bought my first LS car. Looking for opinions on power adders and other misc mods for this build. Details on the car: 2000z28 LQ4 swapped T56, ported patriot 243 heads, texas speed MS3 cam, double coil valve springs, LQ9 rocker arms, weiand LS6 style aluminum intake, hooker longtubes, SLP lid, 42lb injectors, textrailia clutch, 12 bolt moser, 3.73 gears, and a short throw shifter. The car will most likely never see the track just looking for maximum smiles on the street. I have around 3k that im looking to spend on either a turbo or a nitrous setup after I finish the chassis which im working on now..getting weld in sub connectors, upgraded torque arm (tunnel mount) lower control arms and panhard rod. Throw me some opinions on how to spend this cash guys!

Also I know 3k aint nothing for a turbo setup but did see some used sts systems go for around that so thats mainly what im referring to

What's your compression? If it's to high it might not like a turbo

Dunno. Bottom end is stock. I believe pistons are 9:4:1. Ported 243s so I assume 10 something

I'd leave it as it is for right now. Or until something blows. Just keep stacking the money up until either you can do a real turbo setup, meaning going through the intenals and getting support mods or you could stay the cheap route for cheap giggles with a small nitrous setup. Sounds like a pretty solid setup as it is now.

Ya I was pretty much already sold on a NX plate kit already but I sure would love some forced induction and when I saw a couple cheap used kits for sale my kind srltarted racing haha. Plus if I go with nitrous id have enough cash soon to beef up the tranny a little it holds up well now but I dunno about powershifting with 100 shot on top of what I got. Might have to granny shift for a while

I run nitrous as well, and for the money it can't be beat...especially if you're not greedy and only use it once in a while

i agree with going with nitrous with your setup and available funds.

I appreciate the input guys, thank you

Maybe Ill just run the guts out of her with a 100 or 125 shot and save some cash for a 408 forged stroker down the road and up the nitrous at that point.

3k wont get you very far in the supercharger/turbo world so def. nos is your best bet
