Default Need sticky tires!! Nittos or ET streets?!?!?

I am looking for some tires I can bolt up when I go to the track or for street racing. What would be the best between the 555r nittos or the Mickey Thompson ET streets? Hookup, life, handling? I have some 16" wheels I can put them on. Thanks guys.

if you dont plan on driving around with them all the time i would say to get the MT's because the you could still have traction problems with the nitto's,

Depends. If you get ET Streets for the track, what will you be using for everyday tires? With a converter i couldn't imagine using ordinary street tires for everyday driving b/c you could never really get on it at any kind of low speed and not spin. Nittos for everyday and ET Streets for the track would kick ***!

stock ten inch rear????

hook solid on those et streets one good time and kiss your rear by by...

et streets are not a "street " tire...
they are drag race only tires... you might get 5000 miles outa them....
you can get 15000 outa dr... i run them on the street, they hook just fine...

save the MT purchase for when you are making real power and have the rear and chassis mods to run them

stock ten inch rear????
The GM 10.25 inch rear can handle quadruple digit horsepower no problem.

Or was that not the one you were refering to?

its a 10 bolt rear end with a 7.25 inch i believe

MT ET Streets for track...if your gonna fdrive around on em a bit tho....use Nittos....the less street driving is what matters....if its not to far but you want the car to grab on other types of conditions with the ability for daily driving Nittos....if you just gotit for the weekend BFGOODRICH....track only....Mickey T's

et streets brake gm 10 bolt rears... some people make 10-20 passes ok.... some dont make it 1 pass... but it WILL break with et streets....

ET Streets...do have a tendency to brake the 10 bolt...thatis information i did forget, but the risk is up to you...Nittos...would be best as the daily driver...but if you do worry of risking your rear end...get the best of both worlds...BFG DR's

unless your racing at the track or on the street constantly theres no reason to use a seriously sticky tire.

I'd get the Hoosier QTP's for the track. I hear they work better than the MT's. The rear will hold up ALOT longer with an A4.

I am running yokahama AVS ES100 tires. I don't daily drive the car, it is for the weekend and fun only. I am also planning on a cam here pretty soon if that makes any difference. I don't want to pull the tires I am running off my 17"s to put nittos on them, and I don't want to run around on the 16"s. I want something that I can run home and bolt up if some street racing is fixing to happen, or for when I occasionally go to the track. Also when I go, I go on the test and tune/friday night fun night. I hate bracket racing. Heads up or nothing. I mainly go to see how much a new mod has helped.

I heard of better luck with the BFG's, I ran them for a little and loved them. Once they were hot they hooked hard. I have never ran the Nitto's yet.

ET streets like mentioned are pretty much a slick thats street legal. Youll hook hard and have great traction. However if you drive the car everyday you wont want them.

But if you are just changing the your wheels out at the track go with the ET's

Has anyone seen the new ET street drag radial in Jegs?? I tried to order them but they were back order so I ended up with BFGs. But they look really good, I assume they would hook good coming from MT
