Default Looking for a few 1/10's

I don't know if I'm in the right forum, but here it goes. My car runs 12.30's @ around 110, I'm looking to get into the 12.00's for relatively little money. Anyone have any suggestions? My car specs are in my sig. The only thing I left off there is the fact that I am running an SLP maf and it's got a mail order tune. Would I pick anything up raising the rev limiter and shift points? The limiter is still at LS1 specs, as are the shift points. I know the LS6 revs to like 6600 I think and I hear it should shift about 100 rpm before the limiter.

Does the LS6 engine you have also have the LS6 cam? If so, then yes you will pick up some time by raising the rev limiter and shift points... the LS6 cam is still making power at 6500 rpms, so I would set your shifts to shift right before that point on the LS6 cam. Also get some different gears in there... at least step up to some 3.42s.

gears would definitly make a difference. like tranzor said, at least some 3.42s, but i'd personally get some 3.73s in.

Yup, 3.73s and raise your shift points. Also you could remove your front and rear bumper supports and remove your front swaybar for less weight, and better launches.

Thanks guys! Yes, the engine is a complete 2003 LS-6 right from GM, warranty and all. I know I'm definately losing with the car short shifting and gears would be nice, I have thought about it, but it's not in the cards right now. Does anyone think an adjustable torque arm will help?

Could try a few cheap mods like ASP Pulley, Ported T.B, remove swaybar, raise rev limiter, etc... I donno what you can get away with warranty wise but all that could definately add up to 2-3 tenths 2-3mph.

Peace,
Josh
