A guy at work is offering to sell me a wrecked '96 Z71 which he said had a low mileage '98 5.3 swapped in. I didn't think they made a 5.3 in '98. Is he confused, or am I missing something? Assuming it is a '98, is there any disadvantage to this motor compared to a newer 5.3? Anything else I need to know about it? He lives quite a ways from me, so it's not convenient to go look at it, unless I decide for sure to buy it. Thanks
