Loving the LS1 I love my new car so far. Ran it at the track too already. 14.2 @ 102mph at 5500ft so i'm pretty damn happy with that. I didn't see the 1le code anywhere on the sticker on the door either. So i'm assuming it's not anything special. My car is red but has the black roof like the cars with t-tops but doesn't have tops. Does anyone else have this on their car. I'll have some pics tomorrow. 
. i forgot what years had the black top roofs, its probaby in my ls1info link in my sig though if you want to check it out.

98 is when the Zs started coming with black tops again. I too have have the black, non Ttop roof. The side mirrors could also be painted black or the same color of the car. Mine are black. Glad you like your car, nothing substitutes for the pure addictive power of the LS1.

All 98 and newer Z28 and SS's came with a black roof. Hardtop and T-tops. The only one that came with a painted roof is the 2002 35th Limited Edition SS, which has a red roof.
