Default Under drive pulley

I've read many threads about underdrive crank pulleys, but really can't find a good solid trend ot concensous on the out come of this mod. I've read everything from the pulley threw the engine out of balance and wreck the engine to one of the best mods ever. I guess I need some thoughts of you ls-1 guys that "really know what you are doing". No offense ment to anyone, but I need some really good advice.

Yeah, I saw that thread, but it still really didn't settle anything. What are the rwhp gains from a pulley? Is charging an issue or not? Sounds like it's a real hit and miss for people.

depends on which one you get some of them really do suck but it seems the asp is relativelly problem free, exept for the charge issue wich depends on you and your car also. but that is somethign easily fixed.

People seem to be getting a pretty consistant 8-10rwhp from the pulley mod. I haven't heard too many bad things about the asp SFI pulley, a few here and there. All the good things I've heard about them definitely outweighs any worries I had.

Charging is only an issue if you have a big aftermarket stereo suckin some serious juice, which then you would want to get an overdrive alt pulley to compensate.
