Default Can I use 93 10% Ethanol in my ls1 camaro

Hi guys just wanted to know if I can put in 93 10% in my ls1 camaro . Couse that's the highest oct that I can find in my area the lowest is 91 oct at my bp station so wouldn't 93 be better then 91 bp gas ? Thanks

I've put 93 octane, 10% ethanol fuel in every LS1 that I've owned for the last 17 years; cammed, stock, tuned and untuned. So yes, yes you can, absolutely, unless something about your setup requires race fuel.

Yes lower octane usually runs worse due to pulling timing, most notably if you have mods or a tune.

And gas with ethanol won't necessarily run worse, it will just get less efficiency than pure gas.

I think to get benefits from 93 over 91 you have to have your timing tuned to it. But it certainly doesn't hurt it to use 93.
