Default 99 Z28 LS1 Fast Intake & TB Install Question.

I got a 99 LS1 z28 that i want to add more power to. So far it has a 80mm TB,SLP air lid, Borla Exhaust and a shift kit (Automatic transmission). I want to replace the 80mm TB to a 102mm Fast TB along with a 102mm Fast Intake. What else would i need for this install? Will i need a new Fuel rail? Im not sure if this is the correct one but i think i if i do need a new fuel rail for this install i think it will be the FAST 146032-KIT LSX BILLET FUEL RAIL. is that correct? please let me know if thats what i need and IF its all i need. thank you.

If I recall correctly, the 102mm one requires a new fuel rail and (I'm pretty sure) a tune.

Save your money and just get the LS6 intake. You won't need a FAST 102 until you are heavily modded. You could also do headers and gain 20-30 rwhp. Speed Engineering has headers and a pipe for $350 + $350 for the LS6 intake. Thats much cheaper than the setup your looking into and your gaining more than 2x the hp

For the price of that intake you could do headers, and would be a little better gains. I would get a FAST 92 if I wanted an intake because the stock fuel rail and everything bolts right up, you'd just need a 4-bolt 92mm or smaller TB. The difference between the 102 ans 92 on a mostly stock engine will not be much, even if you do a cam and heads it's not worth the hassle in my opinion.

Now to anwer your question, yes you need different fuel rails on the 102. It is designed for a stock LS2 rail, so while billet ones will work all you need is one from an LS2. The injectors are different length between the LS1 and LS2 so it needs spacers to raise the rail up for the longer LS1 injectors. 146021-KIT should the kit.
