4.8 in place of a 5.3
 

So I picked up a 2001 silverado with a bad 5.3 engine. Not sure exactly what's wrong with it but its been sitting for a few years and is now seized so I'm gonna swap in another short block. The shortblock I got ended up being a 4.8. Is there gonna be any issues with swapping it in place of the 5.3? I'm gonna use the intake, accessories, harness and computer from the 5.3.

It will go in no problem. May need to have pcm programmed a bit. Go for it it all bolt together.
