Gmmg?

Gmmg?
Now before I get started, this isn't another "best exhaust" post. I'm getting ready to finally drop $700 on a GMMG set-up and I just want to know if there's anything significant I should know about the set-up before I go and spend $700 on it. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Significant like what? Does it make additional power? Depends what your putting it on. Does it sound great? Of course. Is it worth it? Depends on your thoughts alone. There really isn't anymore to it than that, its just a cat back exhaust. I do have it and would NEVER reconsider my choice even if a different one would have been given to me for free. The dollars are nothing for what you get in return. Additionally, what other tuner SS or WS6 used a different exhaust? All the Berger SS came with it and so did the Blackbirds. Don't forget that the Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS got it all started with this exhaust. Enough said.

ovals?
heck no, man
im the one with the decenting opinion
its all about the slashcut tips
but let me say
if you agree with me and want slashcuts,
get them elsewhere.
the gmmg ones are 2.5"
and the point of the tips are filed down
square end.
they look like crap.
oval or elsewhere.

I bought the system with the round tips and about 2 weeks later i bought the ovals. Much better look in my opinion. The sound is awsome. When I went to get my car dyno'd, all the guy thought i had headers..........again, the sound is awsome

I am probally the only one that does not like the Gmmg exhaust. I wish I would have spent half the money and got an x-pipe and two single chamber flowmasters! GMMG exhaust is way to loud and is to raspy for me.

It's damn sure not like a stocker. You can tell it's there and it's noticable but sounds soooo nice you don't mind. If not it's nothing the radio can't drown out.

We rode around in the ZL-1 with the cutout open for an hour, and after that the chambered sounded quiet compared to having the cutout open. Hell for that matter it was really sedate even for normal standards and it took us an hour and a half to get back from where we were cruising. You will like it, and if you are worried about drone...well that is all relative, but me personally I don't worry about funny rattles/ loud obnoxious exhaust in a muscle car.
